Business of the Month
TILA Studios
Tiffany Latrice Williams
Owner
TILA Studios opened its doors in Downtown East Point in 2017. The owner, Tiffany Latrice Williams, chose to locate in Downtown East Point because she lived in the area and wanted to invest in her community and help champion more change and growth. Being close to the East Point MARTA station also makes it accessible for her members and community. She also noticed that the City was growing at an exponential rate, along with the art related community, which was very attractive to her.
TILA Studios offers programming for women who consider themselves as emerging or professional artists. They host Gallery Shows that feature local artists, as well as, professional development workshops and art classes for artists to expand their practice. Unlike most art galleries and art studios that specialize in one area of business, they have two areas of focus: 1). equipping artists with space to create ambitious art projects and, 2). offering artists exhibition opportunities. There are not many organizations or institutions that offer both studio and gallery spaces under one roof. TILA Studios gives residents and visitors an exciting location to participate in activities, as well as, see local art. They bring art and culture to the community and their proximity to the restaurants in Downtown East Point makes it easy for locals to have a nice evening out with dinner Downtown and a casual stroll over to the gallery to experience the current art on display.
