University Vision Center is located in the historic Buggy Works building, just a short walk from the East Point MARTA train station. They opened their doors in Downtown East Point in 2011.
University Vision Center was started by husband and wife team, Dr. Valerie Acker and Dr. Michael Acker. They chose Downtown East Point because they liked the convenient location and they felt like there was a need for a family friendly eye center.
University Vision Center offers eye exams, glasses, contact lenses and sun-glasses. Their eye exams include checks for glaucoma and cataracts. They also do LASIK surgery consultations and eye exams are available starting at 3 years of age! In addition, they offer quality eyecare and eyewear at affordable prices! “University Vision Center is focused on providing high- quality service and customer satisfaction - we will do everything we can to meet your expectations”, says Dr. Acker. “Our company is based on the belief that our patients' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs and as a result, a high percent-age of our business is from repeat patients and referrals”.
