At 38 years old, Joe Gransden has already performed worldwide and released seven CDs under his own name. Renowned first for the hard bop approach of his trumpet, Gransden's singing voice has been compared to that of Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra. Coming from a family of musicians, Joe's introduction to music came early on through his father, a gifted singer and pianist. His grandfather was a trumpeter of merit, playing professionally his whole life throughout New York. On his mother's side of the family was the piano virtuoso Carmen Cavellero.

5:35–7:00 John Beal Collective
John Beal Collective, the hip Atlanta-based funk jazz band is like good food and better sex. The band's sound can be described as structured chaos, a dynamic blend of spices, sounds, and stimuli - jazz, pop, hip-hop, funk, and rock captured seamlessly within recognizable song structures. In lesser hands, all these influences coming together would be nothing but confusion, but John Beal Collectives just the opposite. As with a great meal or a night of passionate lovemaking, there is an emotional connection they automatically create with their growing fan base.
