National Night Out

The EP Police Department is happy to present National Night Out, 5-7pm in the Commons area (behind the EP Library, 2757 Main Street). They will be giving out book bags and school supplies to children (while supplies last). Parents must be East Point residents. There will also be activities for the kids including a wet slide and the fire safety house. Hot dogs will be served.

Dick Lane Velodrome, The Madison

Bringing the best of the best riders that the U.S. has to offer, the event will be pushing the envelope of speed and danger on a steeply banked concrete race track! Experience the thrill of the two-man Madison, comparable to tag-team on bike, where teammates exchange positions into the action at 40 mph using the dangerous Madison hand sling. Join us for a Slide and Lecture program.

Enjoy learning about the founder of photography from the medium’s beginning in the early 1800”s to some of the famous images of today. Explore various subjects such as realism, portraiture, still-life, naturalism, photo-journalism and surrealism via an interesting slide based lecture. View highlights of works by photographers such as Cartier-Bresson, Stieglitz, Steichen, Weston, Adams and Man Ray.
