GMC, located in the historic Wagon Works Building, opened its doors in East Point in October of 2004. GMC is a 24 hour cable and satellite TV network committed to entertain, uplift and inspire. East Point Centennial Quilt: A History Lesson in Needlework

In 1987, as part of the Centennial Celebration of East Point’s founding in 1887, the East Point Woman’s Club created a quilt illustrating East Point history, historic landmarks and prominent businesses. The quilt features 49 squares that were embroidered or appliquéd by hand by 26 members of the Woman’s Club. Read full article

Downtown East Point Character Map
Many cities have a unique “Character Map” of their area. These maps are great for reference and great for building business and community pride. The Downtown East Point Character Map was commissioned by EPMSA in the Fall of 2010. The project was in conjunction with the Economic Development Department. You can own your own downtown map by purchasing one from EPMSA – they are only $15 each or Two for $25. These are great for framing and hanging in your place of business or in your home.

Downtown East Point Documentary Premier!
You may have seen EPMSA and People TV walking around Downtown East Point capturing footage this past year for the documentary we received a grant to produce through Fulton County. The documentary is one of 5 community documentaries for this year's "Sidewalk Stories" series created by People TV. Copies of the DVD are available for a $10 donation.
